The Traveler 120
The Traveler is the cheesy camera equivalent of a Buick Roadmaster - it weighs enough to hold down a bass boat in a thunderstorm. It produces photographs that are a little less fuzzy than some of the others, but ones that still have a certain personality and style. It has advanced, high-tech controls - a "B" time setting. Some things just seem to get out of hand - I'm now the unofficial Midwest Regional Distributor for Traveler 120s - didn't plan it, it just happened. Went from one to three in just over an hour. Being mildly obsessive about accuracy, I've gnawed notches into the venturi-shaped edge rails of the Travelers, so I can tell them apart. There is also a look-alike version of the Traveler that goes by the name "Vagabond", that I've been able to resist, at least for now.

This image was printed from a Tri-X neg from my original Traveler 120.
The camera was modified slightly after running the first test roll.
The film insert was taped up with gaffer's tape to reduce the amount of light reflecting around the shiny metallic insides of the camera.
If you want to really do it up right, cut some black velvet or flocked
material to fit the insert.BACK
