The Empire Baby
This
camera is so small as to be nearly invisible. It uses a generally
defunct 127 film size, although a Croatian import 127 can be found. It just
barely provides a focused image, and is prone to a random lens
flare. I have managed to nearly double this little camera's weight
just by the addition of gaffer's tape. The Empire Baby is a favorite
of disembodied hands everywhere. The Empire Imposter on the left
is the Photo Champ,
but if you turn over its nameplate, it says "Cardinal".
An Empire Baby by any other name, eh? The latest addition to the
Baby Stable is The Cinéx, yet another camera identical
to the Empire Baby except for the nameplate.

The Cinéx is a mystery wrapped in a misrepresentation - it's clearly the same as an Empire Baby, a Wales Wonder Baby, Cardinal, PhotoChamp, etc - all proudly stamped out in the Crown Colony of Hong Kong. Yet the Cinéx has "Made In U.S.A." emblazoned right below the lens. What's up with that?
